Fun Facts about High School Musical:

  • The snowflakes from the snow ski lodge were actually potato flakes.
  • The garden that was on the roof was made especially for the scene and some of the plants were even fake.
  • Vanessa Hudgens, the girl who played Gabriella, was home schooled since 7th grade, so she never really went to a high school.
  • Most of the milk cartons in the cafeteria were filled with lemon-lime juice because milk would have gone bad.
  • The day that they were filming at Gabriella’s house, they had to stop and take a break because fireworks started going off near by.

Now, before we go, I wanted to talk about the North Junior High Musical. A little ‘backstage access’ if you will. This year’s musical is High School Musical. This year, the auditions were open to people with talents that aren’t really recognized as much such as, basketball, skateboarding, and roller skating.  It was exciting!  There are going to be some, well, surprises in the musical.  Of course, we won’t tell.  You’ll just have to come and find out. This year, the musical is going to be on November 13 and 14. Hope to see you there!
